We finally got a piece of the pie.
Well it's finally here! Time for our shelter to move to our new location. Preparations are ongoing and every day there are changes so we thought we would do this blog to keep everyone informed so you can see it transform. We are truly blessed to have already had a lot of help with the buildings but there is a lot of work to do so stay tuned and if you are able to pick up a paint brush, or a broom and want to be involved, that would be great!
Fencing
The wonderful folks at Fundy Fencing have started work this week on all of our outdoor kennels/ runs for our dogs. Here are a few picture of how it is progressing. They are working extremely fast and we are excited each and every day we go over to see the space.
The outdoor kennels will be 10 ft x 10 ft with a double room doghouse being placed in each one. The exterior fencing (which we are able to reuse from our existing shelter's dog park area) is privacy fencing to offer sound buffering from the traffic and train as well as cut down on some of the wind. We will be putting in shrubbery around the fencing to add more sound/ wind buffering as well.
